Technology: Bridge Building

Last week, the children worked in groups to design a bridge that could hold at least 4 dictionaries and it had to be at least 30cm long. The children were given some paper to create the bridge and were limited with how much sellotape they could use. Before the children created their bridge, the groups did research on the different types of bridges. However the information learnt, was not used...

Here are some of the photos showing the children working in groups and testing their bridges.
Team work!
Applying ideas and giving a hand.
Using every person to achieve the best bridge.
Strategies: Rolling the newspaper?
Will the bridge work?
NO!
Success!
