The children in Room 3 have been working in buddies to write their information reports. This involve the children taking turns being the teacher and helping their partner process their thoughts before writing. The roles change regularly so the children maintain the same pace in their work.
An important part in Buddy Writing is before a sentence is written, the student says the sentence to their teacher, the teacher repeats the sentence and asks 'Is this the sentence you would like to write?' The student then can either change the sentence or write it down in their book with the teacher repeating the sentence slowly to help remember their thoughts. Some of the children's stories are attached above. I have been strict on the children working through their story to edit and make changes. One area we are still developing is our capital letters, which can sometimes be forgotten. (Work in progress) Hope you enjoy. Mister A
